The Match (Part II)

Hey guys.  Good to hear from you.  Things have been going well for us here.  I've been trying my hand at fatherhood again since fourth year has calmed down.  As far as the match goes, I decided on Internal Medicine and mostly interviewed at programs in the Southeast and at Utah and Colorado.  It looks like we will probably be staying in the south.  My favorite was the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.  They have a great medicine training program, but are actually a non-profit hospital system, so the hospital itself is actually very efficient and well-managed.  They also have a lot of perks and excellent stats.  If you haven't heard of them, they also have one of the best Emergency Medicine programs in the country.  I was also impressed with UAB and Colorado.  Utah was good enough to make it toward the top of the list, but not #1.  We'll see what happens.
